George Woodward BSc (Hons) MRICS

George is Managing Director of EWS and is a Member of the RICS and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Urban Estate Surveying. He has over 30 years experience in the commercial property market, mostly in East Anglia. For six years he worked for Healey & Baker (now Cushman & Wakefield) in London and moved to Ipswich in 1984 initially as an associate partner of Oxborrows the town's leading independent firm of surveyors (at that time), before setting up his own practice in 1987. In 1991, along with two other chartered surveyors, he founded the firm, initially as Elsom Woodward & Spettigue Ltd. which was re-branded as EWS Chartered Surveyors in 2001. George heads up EWS's Agency Department and has been involved in a number of Ipswich's major commercial development projects over the past 25 years and he is also actively involved in the firm's Professional Services department. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Finance of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich.

Paul Edwards BSc (Hons) MRICS

Paul joined EWS in 1995 and was appointed a director of the firm in 1999. He is a Member of the RICS and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Urban Estate Surveying. After leaving university he spent three years working for the Valuation Office Agency in Ipswich and has approaching 20 years experience working in the local property market. Paul heads up the firm's Professional Services Department undertaking a wide range of work including valuations and surveys of both commercial and residential properties, rating appeals, rent reviews, lease renewals and dilapidations.

David Lowe BSc (Hons) FRICS ACIArb

David joined EWS in 2000 and is a Fellow of the RICS and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Estate Management. He has well over 30 years experience in the property and development market, mostly in East Anglia. He worked for Healey and Baker (now Cushman & Wakefield) in London for five years, moving to Ipswich in 1983 to run Fenn Wright Spurlings' Commercial Department becoming heavily involved in the firm's development land bank in the late 1980's boom a specialism that he has continued to the present day. He became an equity partner of the firm but moved in 1990 to Bidwells' Ipswich office as an associate partner. David is Consultancy and Development Director of EWS and has been involved in many of the major land transactions in Suffolk and North Essex.

Paul Musson Bsc (Hons)

Paul holds a BSC (Hons) degree in Business Studies from the University of Essex and began his career in the property management industry by working for four years as the Estates Manager of a large London Docklands development of over 400 bespoke apartments occupied by demanding high net worth residents all of whom expected Paul and his team to 'go the extra mile' in terms of the standard of service they provided. In 2000 Paul joined EWS to take charge of the firm's Management Department bringing with him the same high level of service that he had given his Docklands' clients. He has developed EWS's residential management portfolio from a standing start into one of the firm's principal sources of business and is the company's youngest director having joined the board in 2006. He oversees the firm's Management Department - both commercial and residential - and is EWS's Company Secretary.

Clare Wright BSc (Hons), PGDip Surveying

Clare was promoted to the position of Associate Director in January 2012, having joined EWS in 2006 after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Business Management. She completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying with the College of Estate Management in Reading and is working towards becoming qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. She is the first point of contact for the firm's Commercial Agency activities and also assists in the Professional Services Department.

Stephen Rogers BSc (Hons), PGDip Surveying

Stephen joined EWS in 2007 working in the firm's Property Management and Professional Services departments and was appointed Associate Director of the firm in January 2012. He graduated from Swansea University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography in 2005. He is currently working towards qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and in January 2010 completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management which will lead on to an MSc degree from the University of Reading.

Jo Collins MARLA

Jo joined EWS in the spring of 2010 to provide much-needed administrative support to the firm's Management Department. Born and educated in Stoke on Trent, Jo moved to Suffolk in 2003 and has brought to the firm a wealth of knowledge in the residential lettings sector having worked for both an Ipswich-based lettings agency and a large Housing Association. She also has a wide range of customer service and administration skills accumulated from eleven years working in the property services sector.
